“Hade?”

“NO!” Aki shook her head adamantly. “Absolutely not!” Her husband smiled back, amused. “No,” Aki shook her head some more. She was determined. Kicking her feet over the side of the bed, she began scooting over towards the edge as she continued shaking her head. The ringlets of sandy blonde hair that fell out of the loose bun she had tied it all up into brushed against her cheeks and nose. “No,” she repeated again.

Across the room from her, standing at their dresser where her vitamins stood against the mirror, Gosai smiled at the irritated looking woman. Apparently she didn't like the idea. Gosai knew that when his wife made up her mind about something there would be no changing it. “He's not going to be too happy about it,” the red-haired man started.

He watched as his beautiful bride sat pensively on the right end of their bed. She nervously chewed on her bottom lip as her fingers danced against the maroon fabric that stretched out over her stomach. It was a new dress. One that Hade had bought her in fact, and possibly her favorite of all the maternity clothes she's bought or received over the last few months; not that she'd ever admit, but consider how faded it had gotten from the multiple uses and washes it had received since Hade surprised her with it one morning with another breakfast-in-bed and list of new baby names that all seemed to either rhyme with or contain the same letters as his name, Gosai knew it was her favorite.

She paused and drummed the top of her belly three times with the index and middle finger of her right hand. “He's been telling everyone about 'little Wade and little Jade.' Gosai informed her.

Aki's brow furrowed intensely, before breaking into a smirk. He loved the way she smiled. All of her smiles really, but for some reason that smirk of hers was his favorite. He loved the mischievous little glint she got in her eyes, as if she knew something that no one else did; a secret that was hers and hers alone. “Seriously?” Aki let out a light chuckle; a faint rose hue colored her cheeks. “I'm not naming my children Wade and Jade.”

Gosai shrugged in response. “No, I didn't think so.” He smiled as his wife let out a long sigh. She stood and slowly walking over towards the dresser. She walked slowly, it was all she could manage really. He moved to help her, but she shook her head, smiling tenderly as Gosai watched her move with some effort. She seemed to be in a good mood this morning. Normally by this hour she would have complained about her swollen ankles. They seemed fine today though. Not that it mattered to him, Gosai thought she looked beautiful just as she was. But she was always beautiful in his eyes. “There is still the other matter...” She perked up, her bright smile returning to her. “Haru?”

Pausing a moment to caught her breathe, Aki nodded. “And....” She panted, leaning forward, a hand on her hip. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, swallowing one then another breath. As she opened her eyes to face her husband, Aki continued. “Aiko, too”

He smiled. Haru was a given. There was no question it would be Haru. None of the other Kobiru would take offense or feel slighted that Haru was chosen, and really it was only right. But Gosai hadn't expected that she'd want Aiko too. “Isn't it usually a couple?” He asked, holding his hand out for her. She took it this time and he let her lean against him as she nodded. “Then you mean...” Again she nodded. His smile widened.

“Ooh,” she gasped, stopping them both as they walked out of their room to the hall. “I think they like the idea.” He smiled, placing a hand over her swollen belly, feeling as their two unborn children kicked happily inside of her.

“I...I...” Aiko turned back and forth between his brother and sister-in-law. Each of them proudly held the new born babies that Aki had just given birth to. “I'm honored,” the red-haired boy gasped. He was close to tears, but they were tears of joy. Gosai walked over to his brother and gently handed the new born blue-haired little baby he had been holding in his arms. Trembling slightly, Aiko face broke into a huge smile as he held his godchild in his arm. Haru had been told earlier, along with Hade of course, who had seemed ready to protest until someone reminded him he was more of the grandfatherly figured. At first it didn't seem like he was all too happy about the fact that he was essentially being called an old man, but then realized it meant his younger siblings truly did recognize him as their fatherly figure and that of course sent him running out the hospital room to share the great news about his precious babies loving their daddy-Hade and how proud he was of his newly born grandbabies.
Sort of a "prequel"/"companion" piece to:
The Twins Arrive and Arrival of the Twins

Oh and if you don't get it, Haru (and Kiki ;p)  is being chosen as the Godfather of Touki, and Aiko (and Hoshi) is being chosen as the godfather of Kyuuka (yes, that does mean she'll have two godfathers).

Drabble/oneshot Writing Challenge!So... as some of you may have noticed, with the exception of the last two days, I have not really written all that much lately. I have a few characters that I need to flesh out and I've been wanting to write more, so I thought I'd do something about that. As such, I've come up with a little challenge for myself that I'd like my watchers help on, if you so are so inclined. :D
So here's the challenge...
I am taking Drabble/Oneshot requests. There's a catch though. As I mentioned, I want to do this to help me write again, but also to flesh out some of my characters. Therefore, I want anyone who reads this and is willing to take a few moments to jot some things down, please comment below with the following information:
1. Pick one of MY OCs(see below)
2. Pick a setting
(and I don't mean village, I mean just the general setting... in a house, a temple, a park, a bridge, etc)
3. Pick a theme
4. Pick a POV
(first/third only please)
