He couldn't take it anymore. What good was there in playing the cool stoic prince when the girl he loved was slipping through his fingers?

Before he knew it, his body acted on it's own. "Tenten, wait." He put his arm out to block her exit; too absorbed in his own mental anguish to realize how surprised the girl was.

"Neji!" she gasped, jumping back a little at the sudden shock. Turning up to face the man blocking her path, Tenten was surprised to see the pained expression on his usually emotionless face. She had no idea what had happened to cause the Hyuga to have such a look, but for some reason her heart hurt to see him in such obvious pain.

"Tenten," he repeated her name once more, a hint of longing and despair mixed into this voice. "I need you," he chokingly whispered, desperately clutching his chest as if those words were being torn from his heart
