I happen to be flipping the channels through CNN at around 3:30 just as they made the announcement that Michael Jackson had died...

I wasn't a *huge* fan (I'm normally not of any celebrity really), but I got to say, I felt a little sad hearing the news. He was so young... only 50 years old. and three kids... not even teenagers... 12, 11, and 7 (?) and say what you will about all the controversies surrounding him, I honestly never believed any of it. I think he was weird beyond reason, but I don't think he was some evil child molester. For some reason, I always just saw him as a Sad Clown (not making fun of his face, what I mean is he just seemed like he was smiling all the time, but his eyes always looked so sad...)

... anyway yeah that's all i have to say.

I understand. That's deeper than anything I've heard about him today. It's just been, "It's sad to see a famous celebrity die." Why? But your logic makes sense. It's sensible and respectable, and honestly refreshing. You captured his eyes perfectly, in my humble opinion.

I have a feeling a lot of people might be surprised at how sad they may feel about his passing. I know I definitely was. I wonder if maybe it's because his life has been shared by everyone (for better or worst) since he was 4 years old....

I feel like I did when I heard that Steve Irwin die. I thought that it was all just a really bad joke. I enoyed his music and didn't care about the things that the media said about him. It's just weird that he's gone and how old he was. I fell really bad for his kids. I wounder how they're going to deal with this and who is going to be there for them. My heart gos out to them.

Odd side note- I don't think that I can watch Free Willy the same way again.

yeah, I loved that song...

I agree, it does seem surreal to think he's just ... gone. I hope his kids get well taken care of, cos we know he wasn't surrounding by the best people... I really hope whoever ends up with them is someone whose going to love them and give them a good home and happy life.

;~; I really cant get over how he died TT^TT!! I didnt grow up with his music, but i heard it all the time ( my mom was a fan) and i loved his stuff!

im so upset he died :(
